We are currently looking for a remote Intake Specialist in one of our projects – a New York home care agency.

Our clients are seniors who are in need of assistance from home health aides. Our task is to obtain permission for quality home care services for seniors. If you know how to work with people, listen to their needs, coordinate their actions, and have decision-making and planning skills — you will enjoy the position. We have a strong supportive team and a supervisor who has a reputation as a demanding, yet executive person.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Russian languages.
  • Computer skills (Gmail, Excel, CRM, Calendars, working with files in different formats).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • High level of stress resistance.
  • Detail-oriented personality.
  • Your own computer and access to the internet.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with patients and their designated representatives.
  • Educate clients and their families about the available waiver programs, their benefits, and the application process.
  • Collect documentation for home health services. 
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and submitted within specified deadlines.
  • Follow-up on documentation status.
  • Check-ups with patients after they have received the home health services.
  • Make outbound phone calls to medical establishments to represent company services in order to obtain new patients.
  • Receive incoming phone calls.
  • Assist clients in completing application forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Address any questions or concerns the clients may have regarding the application process.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations, policies, and eligibility criteria for NHTD Waiver, TBI Waiver, and Private Care Coordination programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What is the work schedule:

Mon-Fri 9:00 am — 5:00 pm according to New York time (UTC-5).

The specialist should be ready for complexities and new or unexpected tasks during the shifts.
